Glass House Ring

The design of the ring was inspired by a visit to the Mies van der Rohe Glass House. The blue gem represents the house, while the surrounding elements channel the tree and pathway leading up to the house.

The pieces that form the ring are connected by wire. The goal was  (as in all of the jewellery designs I do) not to use glue, but to follow the characteristics of the materials and elements so that they can work and stand together complementing each other.

The materials used are bijou and glass beads.
